New Building Design
Designing structural frames for new buildings is the principle focus of our firm. We collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to propose, study, and develop structural framing system solutions for each project. With ongoing improvements being made to building and design codes, our staff remains on the forefront of current design techniques and building code requirements.
Renovations & Expansions
When construction ends, a building’s life is just beginning. With time, a building’s uses, functions, and requirements change. Structural modifications such as slab penetrations for new communicating stairs and shafts, beam and column strengthening for heavier loads, and new lateral load systems for improved seismic resistance may be required.
Whether it’s bolts, welds, moment frames, braced frames, or other steel solutions, our engineers will provide the most convenient connection designs for your specific needs. We currently design connections for ASD and LRFD methods in accordance with the American Institute of Steel Construction.
Value Engineering and Peer Review
We peer review other engineers’ work as we would want others to by offering observations and suggestions as helpful professional colleagues. While peer review scopes vary with design stage, project type, and the owner’s goals, the safety, economy, and constructability of designs always receive our highest attention.
Once we are onboard, we must go deeper into your project´s foundation. We need to arrive at the roots and essence of it in order to fully understand the future product. We approach our customers with the best solutions by knowing their targets, audiences, and plans from the very first stage of every movement.
Shoring & Excavation
Earth Retention and Shoring involves retaining soil subjected to either a natural unstable slope or a man-made excavation. At times, supporting existing adjacent structures is also required. We draw on our extensive experience with a variety of techniques to provide optimal earth retention and shoring solutions for each project.
We provide visual walk-through inspections to all kinds of structures. We write diligent reports that can help new home buyers and sellers determine the necessary steps towards buying new properties. Leak investigations and water infiltrations are determined through hands-on and visual inspection.
We offer complete design and engineering services for retaining wall systems that are fitted to our client’s particular needs. With our experience installing hundreds of thousands of square feet of retaining walls, we have expertise in many types of systems, including decorative walls, diaphragm walls, gravity lark blocks, rock anchoring, solider pile and reinforced concrete walls.
Rebar / Steel Shop Drawings
Structuretech engineering provides high-quality rebar and steel shop drawings with quick turn-around timelines. We work with a lot of fabricators, contractors and owners for these particular services: Reinforced concrete walls, diaphragm walls, gravity large blocks, rock anchoring, soldier pile.
Collecting forensic evidence using scientific and engineering knowledge to determine the cause of structural failure.
Facade Inspection/ Historic Preservation
Brick facade, glass facade, stone facade, and ACP cladding inspection for different purposes.
Roofing and Waterproofing
Waterproofing design services are provided for all building components including below-grade foundations, plaza and podium configurations, balconies, walkways, and more. From schematic designs to construction documents, we develop technical drawings and details for each waterproofing system, assist with product selection, and provide specifications.
